Those uncontrollable Sexual emotions

We think that controlling sexual emotions is very difficult or sometimes impossible. This thought makes our sexual drive to become our master; because we are what we think. However, is there really an uncontrollable sexual behavior?

There was this young man called Joseph who was strong and handsome, and there was this married woman who always wanted to make love with him. “She spoke to him day after day. But he told her he wouldn’t make love to her. He didn’t even want to be with her.” Genesis 39:10

One day she grabbed hold of him by his coat. ““Make love to me!” she said. But he left his coat in her hand. And he ran out of the house.” Genesis 39:12

Being a young man, this temptation was tough and hard to control. Many fail this test. How does this young man able to pass it then? The answer is, he has this thought “…how could I do an evil thing like that?”

I don’t think there are uncontrollable sexual behaviors. It is our thoughts about our sexual emotions which make us control or uncontrol our sex drives.  

“…..remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
