Solving Your Fears and Insecurities

Insecurity can be defined in many ways. From the definitions I found; feeling of not good enough for something, sense of helplessness, unfitness, and fearing that bad things could happen, fearfulness, are some of them.

Insecurity is a common problem in most people’s life. People fear life in one way or another; some fear being rejected or unaccepted, others fear the challenges and problems they face in life, some others may fear what is going to happen in their life. We all have some fears in life. Pause for a minute and ask yourself what your worst nightmare is. What do you fear in life? Sometimes you may not find what you fear quite easily. In some cases you know your fears when you face them.

This life that God has given us is not at all a fearful life. Our insecurities or fears in life are always derived from some wrong thoughts and beliefs we have about life. These thoughts and beliefs can be derived from many life incidents such as; being raised in a chaotic environment, experiencing major life tragedies (accidents, failures, divorce…) and many reasons. However, no matter what happened in your life, if you really know the underlying facts of life, you will understand there is nothing to fear at all. Rather you start enjoying life and be thankful for each day God has given you. So, let me ask you again? What are your fears in life and why do you think you fear them?

In the Bible it says; We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans chapter 8 verses 28.

The life God has given you is a perfect life. Whatever happened in your life is happened for a good cause. Fear is the emotion we have when we think something bad is going to happen which can hurt us or destroy our life. So why do you fear anything, if everything, every life challenge and problem you have is happening in your life for your own good? God made life that way. But there is one point though; as the Bible says, this life, free of fears and insecurities is guaranteed only to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

As you didn’t create this life you have, and you only just obtained it from your creator, you can’t lead it at its best. The life you have originated from God. And it will be fearless and perfect when it is only led by its creator. As long as you go with God, there is nothing in life to fear about. Fear is not one of the things God gives you in this life you have.
