How do you feel to the way you look?

Psychologists agree that it is a normal and ordinary phenomenon to worry about being attractive or compare yourself with others. Young people specially show high concerns about their weight and appearance.

The National Physicians Center For Family Resources Kenya \2002\ states there are eating disorders that people face in relation to concerns about weight and appearance.

1. Anorexia Nervosa - These people think they are too fat. Therefore they starve their bodies by taking laxatives or going on severe diets to lose weight. This will result in digestive problems, irregular heart-beat, and lack of resistance to diseases, stopping menstrual periods, dry skin and thinning hair.

2. Bulimics Nervosa - They eat a lot to ten times a day and then make themselves vomit, use laxatives, diet pills, exercise constantly, or fast. This will result in dehydration, digestion problems, irregular periods, serious bone problems and irregular heartbeats.

3. Compulsive \ binge eating - These people lose control over food by eating a lot within a short period of time. This will result in heart attack and stroke.

However it is better to build confidence towards the way you look. Just accept it. Wear that suits you. If you want to loose weight, do some proper exercises and go with appropriate diets. Don’t make a big deal out of it. Know what matters really is your inside personality. Build your beauty from your heart because the outside look is always covered by it.

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit... 1 Peter 3:3-4
