The gifts of giving

Giving has its own gifts to offer you. Here are some of them.

1. You will live a more satisfied and happier life when you give.

The more you live for yourself, the more unsatisfied you get. We are not created to live for ourselves only. We need people. That is why we need family, friends, colleagues etc. We get more satisfied when we share what we have and see people happy. Giving meets our needs that material possessions could never satisfy.

2. When you give, you help achieve economic justice.

When you give, you are showing your concern for others. You are helping them live a better life. By this you are contributing your part for the achievement of Economic justice.

3. Give and you will be given.

When you give, you are planting your money. As a result, you will gather what you have planted. Anyone who gives a lot will succeed. Proverbs 11:25

4.  Giving gives you freedom from the manipulation money might have over you

If you give freely and generously, you will not be manipulated or directed by money. Thus, you are free to do whatever you want in your life.
    
Here is something to remember. The one who plants only a little will gather only a little. And the one who plants a lot will gather a lot. You should each give what you have decided in your heart to give. You shouldn’t give if you don’t want to. You shouldn’t give because you are forced to. 2Cohrinthians 9:6
