The decisions you make - How do you know they are right?

ByHanna Shiferaw

How many decisions do you made today? Okay! Let me ask you differently. When did you wake up in the morning? What did you eat for breakfast? What did you do at work or at school? When did you come back home?

The decisions you makeWell, you have decided to wake up at sometime in the morning. You have decided what you eat for breakfast. You have decided to do what you did at work or at school, and so on. Each of the questions I asked you before needed your decisions. So, you spent your whole day deciding. Our life is full of choices that need our decisions. We decide now and then. Beginning from the smallest decisions up to the biggest and hardest decisions in life, we decide. We live based on our decisions. If we make the right ones, we enjoy the results. If we make the wrong ones, we suffer the consequences. However, how could we know we made right decisions?

Here is the story of two men (1), whom the first was able to handle his responsibilities and benefited from his opportunities, while the other couldn’t do both; because of the decisions they made.

They were given equal opportunities and responsibilities, leading their nation. However, one made the best out of it by making the right decisions, and as result the country was at peace and prosperity during his time, while the other spoiled it by making the wrong decisions, which resulted in putting his nation in shame, defeated by its enemies.

What they decided was, the first one decided to leave his ways and follow God’s ways and made the best out of his opportunities, as he was able to maintain his thrown for his sons of sons; while the other decided to follow his ways throughout his leadership and, of course, spoiled all his opportunities by throwing away his thrown out of his hand.

Consult God in every single decision you make. He is the source of all good things in life. There is nothing bad in him. If you decide to leave your ways and follow God’s ways in your life, let me assure you, you are making the right decisions all the time.
