Why do people worry? I have tried to read some materials to get an answer for the reason why people worry. And I found the following answers. People worry because worrying is an ordinary human nature. Some people worry too much while others leave things simple. That depends on the individual’s natural character. People worry because they suffer severe pain when they are born. People are born enduring the state of possibly being killed by compression or being pushed out forcefully through a narrow delivery canal. People get big trauma in the mind at the point of the beginning of life (at birth). As a result, trauma registered deep in the mind begins to spring out habitually. People worry because they face various problems in life. In other words, problems make people worry. People worry because worrying is part of life. There is plenty to worry about since we can't control the world around us or other people. Worrying is a sad state of feeling which can cause serious health and psychological disorders such as normal to chronic headache, low appetite or indigestion problems, difficulty in falling asleep, blood pressure, loosing concentration and bad habits such as alcohol and drug addictions. The Bible says that the main reason why people worry is lack of faith. Jesus and his disciples were in a boat when this terrible storm came down on the lake. “It was so bad that the boat was about to sink. They were in great danger.”Luke 8: 23. Jesus was asleep while the others were trying very hard to settle the boat down. Unfortunately, they couldn’t do it. And they were too worried. Then, they screamed to Jesus. However, he didn’t say to them “Don’t be afraid.” or “Do not worry.” Or some supportive, kind and caring words to give them strength as he usually do. Rather he criticized them saying “Where is your faith?” Even though the situation they are into is very difficult or almost impossible not to worry or fall asleep as he did, he was angry seeing them worrying and frustrating. Why? Because he told them at first “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” No 22. That means it is firm from the beginning that they will reach on the other side of the lake. They can have his word on it. That is called faith. Sadly, they lacked it and ended up in worrying and frustrating. Therefore, worrying is a big problem causing other health and mental disorders. You need to avoid it from your life and live in faith. How you do it? Here is how. Turn all your worries over to him (God). He cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 God cares about you more than anybody does, even you do for yourself. Have faith in him and throw you worries away.
