Selfishness – A disease which needs an immediate cure

No one can live and fulfill his needs alone in this planet. We need each other very much as deep as we cannot live without the help of others. We are extremely interdependent since the world we are living is a shared world.

Thus, if the need for each other is this deep, we need to make our relationships with people as good as possible. We can’t hurt anybody because no one can live peacefully in this world causing harm to others. There is always payback time for whatever good or bad we cause in the lives of people.

Selfishness is one of the troubles which harm others around us. The definition of selfishness is taking advantage of people in order to satisfy ones needs. It has its own fruits to bear. Since we saw what we seed, if we seed selfishness to our interpersonal relationships, we saw hatred because nobody wants to be taken advantage of.

No one wants to deal with a selfish person unless and otherwise he has no choice at all. Besides, no one can find honest and loyal people around through selfish characteristics. That, as a result, creates a big empty space inside, which leads to un satisfaction and emptiness. Because the deepest need for real love from people around is not satisfied, the outputs of selfishness in turn damages oneself. Selfishness is a disease which needs a cure.

We need to love and care for each other. That is the law of nature. If we violate this by being selfish, we will in turn suffer the consequences.
