A practical Advice – How to use your money

Your money can build your life if you can use it the right way, and destruct you if you are unable to use it appropriately. Thus, what is a correct outlook toward money? Here are some practical advices on how to use your money.

1. Getting money or becoming rich cannot be purpose enough for your life

We all are designed on purpose. The question is whether we find the reason why we are created for and stat running towards it. Try to find your purpose in life. (I recommend this book to help you find your life purpose.) Be somebody. Work on something that will be helpful for you and for your society or for the world. Solve people’s problems. And get rid of money out of your living purpose. Because No one can serve two masters at the same time. Mat 6:24

2. Give money the right and appropriate position in your life

When a marathon runner runs his/her race, s/he drinks water in some kilo meter intervals. It helps him/her to refresh and continue his/her race to the finish line. Money is an instrument or input to help you reach your target in life. It is not a target by itself.
Don’t be controlled by love for money. Heb13:5

3. Don’t think money is the answer for every question you have

Some people think accumulation of money brings true happiness. They don’t ever seem to have enough of it. Money is not the answer for every question you have. You will never get true happiness and satisfaction from it.
Anyone who loves money never has enough. Anyone who loves wealth is never satisfied with what he gets. Ecclesiastes 5:10

4. Be generous in giving

The formula of giving is the exact reverse of what it usually seems. It seems that give, give and give, then you will be empty. However, exactly the reverse is true, which is Anyone who gives a lot will succeed. Proverbs 11:25

5. Save for the future

This principle seems that it contradicts to the idea before. (No.4) However, giving and saving are not opposite. They are just different. The idea of giving reflects sharing what you have with people.  Just don’t be self centered. Saving is thinking of the future. Always see tomorrow. Be wise to save your money. There may come a day when you cannot do a penny.
The best food and olive oil are stored up in the houses of wise people. Proverbs 21:20

6. Target your money towards some goal

Money needs goal. Be targetful.  Do something on it. Shape it towards some objective.
