For those who are beautiful

My friends Lili and Hiwy shouted at me when I admire the beauty of a young lady whom they work with. The lady was amazingly beautiful, with pretty little face. " I see the ugliest face of the world in her. "screamed Lili. " Spend a day with her," added Hiwy, " You will feel the same thing, even worse." I really wondered why?

However,it didn’t took me much time to find out why that amazingly beautiful face turned out to be the ugliest. When I simply put it to you, I would say, " You can’t stand her." She is so self-centered. That was the day I realized that who you are in the inside shadows what you look on the outside. Inner beauty really has much influence for what people think about you.

Think of someone that you think ugly or un sexy. Do you want to spend time with him\ her? Have dinner or walk with him\her? The answer is easy. You have little or no interest to do those stuffs. We usually train ourselves to look at someone’s outside appearance. We judge people for what they look on the outside.

However real beauty comes from who we are, not what we look like. Society often believes that an ugly face with a beautiful heart is an attractive person. The bible also agrees.

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit... 1 peter 3: 3-4

My friends` "beautiful" colleague reminds me that, while we all appreciate looking as nice as we can, and strive to do so, it is that inner beauty that prevails, now and over the long term.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Proverbs 30:31
