How would you choose your marriage partner if you don’t have one? The one who loves and respects you and you do the same thing as well. Yes, indeed. However, we are witnessing that many marriages are meant to be arranged that way, and becoming a disaster at the end. But, why is it so? Look at yourself. For every need you have, God has arranged something to satisfy. It is in the nature. By just simply opening up your eyes and looking up, you can see it. There is a need to eat in us. God gave us plants and animals around. There is a need to drink, God gave us water. There is a need for a mate. God gave us marriage. From the beginning it was God’s plan to unite a man and a woman, a husband and a wife. It wasn’t a human idea. Besides when he arranged marriage, he didn’t leave us the task to find out our mates by ourselves. As the Bible puts it: It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion who will help him. Genesis 2:18 But we usually do mistakes by arranging our marriages by ourselves without God’s guidance. We choose what we see best in our eyes, what we think best in our mind. It may seem unusual to follow God’s choice, but for success in this area of life, we need to leave our choices for the Creator of marriage, who is able to give us happy and successful unions. ........“A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” This is a great mystery.
